The two officers who were working together in Brooklyn were reportedly off duty at the time and found naked in the car after a local resident called to report hearing “hot and heavy” cries coming from the area, according to reports.

The person making the call said they heard “a woman screaming in a parking lot” but were unable to see “which colour vehicle” it was.

Two other officers reportedly investigated the incident at 1:30 in the morning and found the alleged lovebirds in their personal car outside the 79th Precinct in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighbourhood.

It was allegedly very common knowledge that the male police officer was having an affair with the woman, as a previous row had occurred at the police station between his wife and his lover.

Afterwards, it appears that the two had been allowed to continue on patrol as partners, with their latest encounter happening in their private time in their own vehicle, according to local media.

Both reportedly denied the incident.

It is understood that the officers who responded to the call did not switch on their body-worn cameras, which is standard under such circumstances.

The male officer reportedly joined the force in 2018 and the woman joined in 2021.

So far, no comment has been made by the New York Police Department on the claims.
