This is the moment two cops end up in a high-speed chase through a field before firing bullets at the alleged drink-driver as a warning to make him stop.

According to local media, police in the district of Chistoozyorny in the southern Russian region of Novosibirsk Oblast were informed about a suspicious motorist who was driving a vehicle without licence plates on the road.

When the cops tried to stop the tractor on a country road, the tractor driver ignored them and continued his journey.

The two officers had no choice but to chase after the rogue tractor driver.

In the footage, the cops are seen firing warning shots to make the tractor driver stop the vehicle and one bullet hits the wing mirror.

However, despite the warning shots, the tractor operator continues driving through the field in an apparent attempt to evade the cops.

According to local media, when the 29-year-old driver finally stopped the tractor, he refused to take an alcohol test.

Reports said that the police charged the driver and he has been fined 30,000 RUB (362 GBP). He is expected to face additional charges for disobeying police instructions.
