This is the moment two butting rams ‘lock horns’ and hold up traffic as they fight in the middle of the road.

The incident was filmed in the district of Pazar in the northern Turkish province of Tokat and shared on social media.

According to reports, the unnamed driver encountered two rams squaring up to each other in the street and decided to film it.

Within moments, the two rams used the entire road to butt each other as motorists could only look on and wait for a winner to emerge.

In the footage, the charging rams butt each other several times before the one with black markings appears to grow tired and gets pushed to the roadside.

However, they continue to butt each other with force by the side of the road as the motorist films the enthralling encounter.

The video ends without showing a clear winner.

Netizen ‘Yaser Atman’ commented: “This looks like high school love rivals fighting after class.”

‘Yilmaz Basar’ said: “I wonder what else we will see in this funny country!”
