This is the blind pensioner who has built this house with his bare hands with the only help coming from his 86-year-old mother and guide dog.

Russian pensioner Vladimir Krysanov started a small renovation on his mother’s house in the village of Zarytki just outside the city of Ryazan in western Russia in 2010.

He initially planned on building a summer patio or a little summer house but as his mother’s 100-year-old house began to crumble he realised that he would have to start a massive construction project.

Krysanov managed to make the building’s foundation from scratch before putting up the walls and roof of the building.

He even fixed the electricity problem in the house and took care of the water and heating system.

His mother, 86, helped him by acting as his eyes when he was working with cables.

The majority of materials that were used in the construction were found at a nearby landfill, the rest Krysanov had to buy out of his pension.

The pensioner says that a company that was supposed to provide him with plastic windows scammed him. He says the despite paying the full amount for the order – 25,000 RUB (301 GBP) – he has never received the windows.

Luckily another company provided him with the needed windows completely free of charge.

He had to use sounds and working radio in order not to destroy something during the construction.

He said that without his dog Dik he would have never been able to complete his task, adding: “God is a four-pawed GPS. It wouldn’t have been possible without him.”

Netizen ‘Nikolay Solodov’ said: “What a strong man. Many people wouldn’t be able to accomplish that even being able to see.”

Another one ‘Nikolay Smirnov’ added: “He is undefeatable. God bless you!”
