This shocking footage of a little baby girl being drowned in a bucket has resulted in its teenage mother being arrested for attempted murder after she sent the footage to the baby’s dad.

The mother, identified in reports as Victoria Ramos Gamarra, 19, reportedly sent the shocking videos to her ex-boyfriend, George Washington Yucra Gutierrez, in the district of San Sebastian in the central Peruvian department of Cuzco in attempt to try and force him to restart their relationship.

Yes equally shockingly the dad apparently ignored the videos which were getting progressively worse over the past three months before finally complaining to police, resulting in him being investigated as well.

In the video, the nine-month-old girl can be seen sat struggling to keep her mouth above the water in a bucket.

A hand then grabs the tot and lifts her up before pushing her head under the water.

The baby struggles to breathe and can be seen spitting the water.

Another clip shows the girl being held upside down by her legs and having her head dunked into a bucket of water.

A third recording show the baby’s back with painful-looking scratches all over her.

Local media report Gamarra was arrested after her ex-boyfriend, named in reports as George Washington Yucra Gutierrez, 26, filed a criminal complaint against her.

Gutierrez reportedly told officers that Gamarra had been sending him videos of her abusing their baby daughter since November 2018 in an attempt to try and convince him to restart their relationship.

The 19-year-old mother was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of her daughter.

Local media report she could face between 15 and 25 years in prison if found guilty.

The baby was sent to the Unit of Special Protection of the Ministry of Women and will receive medical attention. The tot will also be checked to see if she is suffering from neurological damage, according to reports.

The father, Gutierrez, was also investigated for allegedly covering up the attempted homicide but it is unclear if he was arrested.
