Anonymous Hero Saves Man Trapped In Fire And Walks Off

These images show the anonymous hero who climbed into a burning building to save an ill man before washing his hands and walking off as if nothing had happened.

The incident took place at around 2.30 pm in the city of Denia, in the southeastern Spanish province of Alicante, in the region of Valencia, when the fire started inside the house for unknown reasons.

A 39-year-man, whose name has not been reported, was reportedly trapped inside the fire. The man is reportedly ill and requires the use of a walking frame according to Javier Scotto di Tella Manresa, the Councillor of Citizen Protection for Denia.

Local residents rushed to help the man and a retired firefighter used an old ladder to reach the first-floor balcony as they could not walk through the building because of the flames.

Water was reportedly thrown on the fire and unnamed man can be seen in the images carrying the ill man from the home.

Local media report he had climbed into the flat to grab the man and carry him to safety.

Firefighters then arrived on the scene and the victim was taken to the La Fe hospital in Valencia.

According to Manresa, the man suffered burns to the oesophagus and symptoms of smoke suffocation, although he is in a stable condition.

The identity of the man who carried the victim to safety is yet to be reported and local media state he simply washed his hands in a neighbour’s house and left the scene.

Local residents would reportedly like to contact him to thank him for his heroics.
