This is the moment Russian cops work to free a man tied to a tree with cling film after his relatives reportedly grew tired of his drunken antics.

The incident reportedly took place in the Golovinsky Ponds area in the north of the Russian capital Moscow after the unnamed man was reportedly drinking alcohol with his relatives.

Local media report the man became aggressive and was behaving inappropriately so his relatives decided to tie him up to the tree to calm him down.

They reportedly called the authorities after tying him up with cling film.

In the video, one office can be seen trying to free the man by unwrapping the cling film. Another onlooker is on the phone as the tied-up man struggles to move.

Local media report the man was eventually released from the cling film and the press service of the Moscow department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said all of the participants involved in the incident were taken to the police department for further investigations.

It is unclear if any arrests were made
