AIRPORT EXPLOSION: Suitcase Suddenly Explodes After Clueless Passenger Carried CO2 Cannisters On Plane

This is the shocking moment a passenger’s suitcase suddenly explodes at an airport after he had already made several trips carrying dangerous CO2 containers.

The passenger had reportedly flown into Brazil that day after stopovers at a number of airports in the USA, including Dallas, Boston and Chicago airports.

The incident took place at the Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo when the suitcase, which reportedly contained a sparkling water machine, exploded on Monday, 12th December.

No injuries were reported but it is said that the ceiling inside the airport terminal was damaged, according to local media.

The owner of the suitcase, named in local media as Flider Nascimento de Moraes, said that he had been in the United States before landing at Guarulhos Airport that morning to catch a flight to Belo Horizonte, also in Brazil.

He reportedly said that before arriving in Brazil, he had travelled through the airports of Dallas, Boston and Chicago.

He added: “When it exploded, I had no reaction. It was when I was checking in to go to Belo Horizonte. The machine exploded. I was very worried, afraid. Imagine if it had exploded inside the plane. That was my shock.”

The terrified passenger explained that the machine that exploded was a sparkling water machine that comes with CO2 cylinders.

The airport confirmed that an incident had taken place in its check-in area and that security was called to the scene. They added that no damage had been reported and that the airport was operating normally.
