Actress Shows Heartbreaking Video Of Her Destroyed Home After Russian Missile Attack

A Ukrainian actress famous for her huge blue eyes has shared images of her destroyed apartment that she visited for the first time after it was hit in a Russian missile attack.

Blogger and actress Irina Kudashova, 24, from Chernihiv, Ukraine. Published a video of the damage on Sunday, 18th February, on her Instagram where she has over one million followers.

Irina returned to her hometown for the first time after the Russian attack and saw the damage that had been caused to the property.

She shared the images with her followers showing the destruction, which included her ruined balcony and the fact that the windows had all been blown out.

Other damaged buildings and cars can be seen nearby from the balcony.

In a posting alongside the images, she said: “My home… I saw my apartment for the first time after arriving. It hurts to see it in person.”

Kudashova did not specify when exactly her apartment was damaged. However, she added that she had previously only seen the destruction in photos. And seeing what the Russian invaders had done to her apartment in person was emotionally difficult.

She said that the damage was caused after the shock wave from the Russian missiles detonated nearby.

On 19th August 2023, Russian military forces launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile at the Taras Shevchenko Theatre in downtown Chernihiv, Ukraine.

The Governor of Chernihiv Oblast, Vyacheslav Chaus, announced that seven people died, including a 6-year-old girl. Another 144 were injured, including 15 children and 15 police officers. With 41 injuries being grievous and requiring medical evacuations to a hospital.

Chernihiv was besieged in the early stages of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, until April 2022. But was relatively peaceful afterwards up until the missile strike.
