Lockdown OAP Caught Walking Tells Cops She Was At Class

This is the moment a 65-year-old Serbian woman tells a cop that she was studying English when asked why she was walking the streets during COVID-19 lockdown.

The elderly woman, named Olivera, was stopped by the police as over 65-year-olds are instructed to remain indoors as they are considered the most vulnerable group affected by the virus.

In the footage, a police officer is seen stopping the woman in the street and asking: “Good day madam, what’s your name and why are you outside?”

She replies that her name is Olivera and that she is on her way home.

The stern cop asks: “Where were you?”

The sweet old lady answers: “I was at an English class.”

She adds: “At my friend’s house, she has the time right now.”

Netizens had a lot to say about the OAP’s alibi, with ‘Aleksandra Stevanovic’ commenting: “Working on your self-development is priority!”

‘Gordana Veruovic’ said: “She is adorable. I hope she lives until 100.”

‘Milena Djordjevic-Buca’ wrote: “She is a queen! Why didn’t they drive her home?”

As of 31st March, Serbia has reported 785 cases of COVID-19 and 16 related deaths, according to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University.

It is unclear if Olivera was fined.
