The brother of the 39-year-old Taiwanese actor and model, surnamed Lin, was reportedly found hanging from a tree.

His 40-year-old wife and 12-year-old son were found dead nearby with strangulation marks on their necks and the local authorities currently suspect that Lin killed them in a murder-suicide, according to local media.

Lin’s link to the actor was discovered by local media as the address on his ID matches that of a property bought by Ming for their mum.

Although the investigation is ongoing, the police have reportedly discovered messages on Lin’s phone that suggested he had accumulated debts of over 2 million TWD (50,830 GBP).

He told one friend that he had “lost the will to live”, according to local media.

In the past, the Taiwanese actor has had to pay off his brother’s gambling debts and once referred to him as a “ticking time bomb”, according to reports.
