This is the moment a man lines up a line of white powder on a seat in a doctor’s waiting room before snorting it in front of the other patients.

The startling scene was recorded by an onlooker in the waiting room of a health centre in the municipality of Vracar of the capital city of Belgrade in central-northern Serbia.

In the video, a man, who has not been named, can be seen crouching in front of one of the seats in the waiting room and he appears to prepare a line of white powder on an unspecified object lying on the seat.

He then lifts the line towards his nose and snorts it before rubbing the rest of the substance into his gums in front of a female patient.

The video was posted with the word “dope” on it and local media report the incident was reported to a nurse who then called the police.

However, the man left before the police arrived and the Director of the Health centre, Miroslav Dimitrovic, said: “They [police] arrived fast, they only needed a few minutes, but the man was already gone.

“The police have promised us that they will often visit the centre in the upcoming period, so the case doesn’t happen again. Our health centre has cameras, but we have six floors, every day around 2,400 patients pass through the waiting rooms, and we cannot control all of them. The cameras filmed him, so I hope he will be found.”

It could not be officially confirmed whether the man was consuming drugs, according to local media.

Netizen ‘Posmatrac’ commented: “He was healed right away and he can go home.”

While ‘Aca’ added: “The guy has tigress pants, you can see he is not well in his head.”

And ‘da anunna’ asked: “Is someone kidding me?”

It is not clear whether an investigation has been opened.
