This is the dramatic moment an LAPD cop shoots a woman who charged at him with a wrench after she attacked a car with it mid-traffic.

The incident first began when deputies responded to a call of vandalism in progress after a woman was reported to be swinging a large metal wrench and damaging vehicles at North Vincent Avenue and East Edna Place in San Dimas, California on 26th November, 2022.

The woman, later identified as Bridget Blaney, shattered the window of a vehicle while the deputy was en route.

Upon arrival, Deputy Ernesto Valencia attempted to detain Blaney, but she charged towards him with the wrench, resulting in a shooting.

Blaney sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident is currently under investigation.
