An arsonist hid an Apple watch up his bum when he was arrested for burning down his ex-girlfriend’s home and killing her disabled sister so that he could send her taunting messages from the jail cell.
Evil Aaron Clark, 30, apparently knew that Olivia Drasher, 20, was paraplegic when he started the blaze at his ex-girlfriend’s home at 613 Sharon Ave in Sharon Hill in Darby Township in Delaware County in the US on 4th December.
Both of them had worked together at the USPS parcel service and when she told him she was dumping him, he had tried to strangle her, resulting in her filing a complaint.
He then bombarded her with text messages threatening to do something terrible and also saying he was going to post intimate pictures online.
Announcing the fundraiser after the family lost everything in the blaze, Amira Rogers, the ex of Clark, said: “Our home […] was set on fire by an evil psychopath, and my little sister, Olivia Drasher, who is disabled and has cerebral palsy, was killed.
“She was only 20 years old. Her nurse, Ms. Sharon, was burned and inhaled smoke while trying to save Olivia. My mother was able to save Raquelle Drasher, Olivia’s twin sister. But my baby sister Olivia did not make it out.
“My family has lost everything. This man was harassing me where I work at the post office because I did not want to be with him anymore. He was abusive and I wanted to get away from him.
“Then he set our house on fire while my family was in their beds. We are working with the police to get justice, but we are now homeless.
“Due to Olivia’s medical condition, we were not able to obtain life insurance for her yet. But we never thought we would need it anytime soon because she was only 20 years old.
“My mother, Drena Drasher, is a veteran of the US ARMY, and a Philadelphia Police Officer in the 1st District.
“She worked so hard to provide for her family and build her dream house all for it to be burned away by a demonic human.
“My family and I are devastated by the loss of our Olivia and we need all your thoughts and prayers.
“The money for this GoFundMe will be used to pay for Olivia’s funeral services and burial, and also to helping us find a new home.
“We don’t have anything but the clothes on our backs. Any amount that anyone can contribute is greatly appreciated.
“Also if anyone can donate any clothes or toiletries that would greatly be appreciated as well. Everything we have got destroyed in the fire. Please keep my family in your prayers, our hearts are completely broken.”
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said: “This is all about intimate partner violence … taken to the highest degree possible.
“He tried to kill four people because one of their family members didn’t want to be romantically involved anymore.”
An autopsy confirmed that the disabled young woman had died from the fire, with the DA saying: “[The victim] was in this house, unable to move, unable to communicate, as her body is being fried and as she’s choking to death because of the smoke, all because Mr Clark was angry about her older sister breaking up with him.”
Stollsteimer added that Clark continued to send threatening texts to his ex-partner from the holding cell using an Apple Watch he had hidden inside his rectum “. . . just so he could further bring it home to this woman, what he did to her.”
When police officers discovered that he had hidden the device and tried to steal it, he fought them and spat at them to try and hold onto it.
The accused remains in custody and bail has been refused.
