The family of a 26-year-old man arrested on allegations he raped his sister on four occasions since she was 11 years old has persuaded a court to free him on bail – so he could still get married this weekend.

The suspect, who works as a security guard, has been charged by the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court for allegedly raping his sister on four occasions in June 2014, March 2018, May 2019 and April this year.

The alleged rapes took place at the family’s home in the district of Jasin in the Malaysian state of Malacca.

The abuse reportedly started when the victim was 11 years old, and she is now a 17-year-old Form Five student.
