This is the moment a couple fight on an underground platform before continuing inside a train carriage as the woman’s young daughter sobs before joining in.
The incident was filmed by an eyewitness in the Romero Rubio underground station in the central Mexican capital Mexico City and was later shared on YouTube where it has been viewed 11,000 times.
In the footage, the couple are seen arguing on the platform before the unnamed woman shoves the man hard, sending him crashing to the floor inside an underground train.
She claims: “You beat me, you dog!”
As they continue their row in front of stunned passengers, who do nothing to intervene, the couple starts brawling on the floor.
While hitting and pulling each other’s hair, the woman occasionally cries out “Hannah”.
A frightened young girl in pink sobs and answers: “I am here, mum. I am here.”
Meanwhile, the man protests: “I am not beating you, you are beating me!”
The woman then accuses the other passengers of doing nothing to help, saying: “So, none of you f*cking people will do anything? He is a man and he is beating me, here in front of my daughter.”
At the end of the clip, the young girl smacks the man on the head before a male passenger breaks up the brawl.
Reports said that the man had been drinking alcohol, although the footage suggests they may both have been drunk at the time.
It is unclear if the couple was arrested or whether the authorities are investigating the incident.
