This is the moment a woman in high-heel shoes jumps out a moving train car and tumbles onto a platform after realising she was headed in the wrong direction.

The dramatic incident was captured inside Chaozhou railway station in Taiwan’s southern county of Pingtung on 20th November.

The female commuter, whose identity has not been reported, had intended to travel north but boarded the wrong train, stationmaster Kuo Kun-Yue said.

Instead of taking the northbound 108 local train, the commuter boarded the southbound 3501 train for Taitung County in the island’s southeast.

But by the time she realised her mistake, the train was already moving.

Footage from the station shows the woman reportedly praising open the train car’s folding doors before leaping onto the platform.

She fails to get solid footing during the stunt and tumble onto the platform in her high heels before picking herself up and walking away.

Mr Kuo said she was not harmed but was approached by railway staff shortly after.

She explained her mistake and her apparent unwillingness to wait until the train reach its next station.

She is not believed to have been fined over the incident.
