This is the moment a man in a suit on a zebra crossing suddenly shoulder barges a random woman off her bicycle as she waits at the lights on the other side.

The footage recently shared to Chinese social media platforms was captured in Jianggan District in the city of Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province in East China.

The clip, which has left viewers both bemused and angry, shows the as yet unidentified suspect using a zebra crossing to cross a large junction.

The besuited man wearing a coat and holding a briefcase approaches the other side of the road where a woman is waiting at the lights on her bicycle.

As he walks past her, the pedestrian inexplicably shoves the woman with his shoulder, causing the unsuspecting female cyclist to tumble off her bike onto the road.

Bizarrely, the pedestrian does not appear to even look her in the eye as he casually walks off using a nearby pavement.

It is unclear whether the woman was injured, but this happens in front of several witnesses who do not appear to try and stop the pedestrian as the video ends.

Social media users have left hundreds of comments on the footage, calling for the authorities to find and punish the pedestrian, whose motives are still unclear.

So far, however, Hangzhou police have not announced whether they were looking for the suspect.

Netizen ‘Qhdshuaige’ said: “What if were was a car behind her? Attempted murder?”
