Wolf In Chinese Zoo Has Panic Attack While Trying To Eat In Front Of Noisy Visitors

This is the moment a wolf in a Chinese zoo has an “uncomfortable reaction” akin to a panic attack as it tries to eat its food in front of noisy visitors.

The incident took place at Chengdu Zoo, which is located in the city of Chengdu in south-western China’s Sichuan Province, and it has reportedly gone viral on Chinese social networks.

The footage shows a wolf shaking as it tries to eat his meal in front of zoo visitors who are heard making noise in the background.

The wolf shudders and then appears to keel over onto its back before it gingerly gets to its feet again and retreats to a safe distance with its tail between its legs.

It then lingers behind a table, picking up some food in its jaws in the process while people are heard laughing at it.

A zookeeper told local media on 6th October: “Wolves are naturally cautious. Suddenly seeing many tourists, coupled with some uncivilised behaviour, caused the wolf to be frightened and had an “uncomfortable reaction” which appears to be similar to a panic attack.

The zookeeper explained that there were two wolves in the enclosure. The wolf in the video was an adult male named Curse Baby and the other is a female named Cub.

The zoo also called on visitors to be respectful of the animals and to conduct themselves appropriately on the premises, which is their home.
