This footage shows a husband with no driving licence crashing into four other cars in an accident that flipped the vehicle on its roof and sent his wife flying out as it was sent spinning.

The incident took place in New Taipei City in Taiwan on 1st October and local media stated that there was only one slight injury as a result.

The footage shows the driver hitting four cars on the side of the road before overturning.

Suddenly, the woman is thrown out of the car as it is sent spinning down the road on its roof and she reportedly escaped with only slight injuries.

Local media said that morning, the driver, named as Guo, was driving with his wife in the car.

The vehicle hit a traffic island and deviated, hitting multiple cars and overturning in the street.

Guo said afterwards that he had been looking at his mobile phone at the time, which caused the accident, according to local media.

Reports also stated that the driver did not have a driving licence.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
