This is the moment a waiter hoses down an apparently inebriated young couple asleep at a terrace table for a minute – but they barely respond to the torrent of water.
The incident was filmed at a cafe in the city of Sochi located in the south-western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai when the unnamed waiter noticed two sleeping clients who he suspected of being drunk or on drugs.
In the footage viewed over 20,000 times on social media, the young couple is seen getting drenched by the hose-wielding waiter.
As the worker douses the young couple, fast asleep at a terrace table, they barely respond.
Eventually, the man starts to move his head and appears bothered by the hose-down, however his companion does not budge.
According to local media, the waiter believed that the couple fell asleep at the table after a night out on the town and came up with the idea of hosing them down to move them on from the cafe.
Netizens had a lot to say about the staff’s unusual method of waking up the sleeping couple, with ‘Ruslan Arkadyevichi’ commenting: “I think you needed to insert the hose up their bum.”
‘Anvar Galeev’ said: “Throw them over the fence into the river. That should do the trick!”
It is unclear if the couple moved on from the cafe or if they have filed a complaint.
