This is the viral moment with over 4.3 million views a man taking out the bins in a dinosaur costume pretends to hide from a police car during Spain’s coronavirus lockdown.

The bizarre scene was recorded in Tenerife, in the south-western Spanish region of the Canary Islands, in the third week of Spain’s coronavirus lockdown and has gone viral with over 4.3 million views online.

Local media report the man decided to wear the dinosaur costume to take out the rubbish but he then came across a police car.

In the video, he can be seen running past the police car to the bins before creeping behind a car to pretend to hide from the cops.

The dinosaur’s head pokes out above the car as he peeps at the patrol car before running behind a wall.

He then skirts against a wall in a hilarious attempt to avoid detection from the cops before sprinting past the cat and down the road before moving out of sight behind a corner.

Local newspaper Canarias 7 report the officers were not in the car as they were attending an incident in a nearby house and did not notice the man in the dinosaur outfit.

Local media report that citizens found breaking the lockdown rules in Spain face fines of between 100 and 60,000 EUR (88 and 52,855 GBP) depending on the situation and could even receive prison sentences, although people are still allowed to take out their rubbish.

According to the latest figures from the Johns Hopkins University Spain has registered 141,942 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 14,045 deaths and 43,208 recoveries.
