This is the moment dozens of university students are forced to have their hair badly sheared by classmates as an initiation stunt.
The incident was filmed at the ENEF Normal School of Physical Education in the municipality of Morelia in the western Mexican state of Michoacan, and the footage was shared on social media, prompting the state education authority to condemn the sick prank.
In the video, dozens of students are seen having their hair badly sheared with scissors.
Another clip shows a young woman crying on the ground after reportedly suffering a shoulder injury during the stunt when those involved tried to force her to join in.

According to one eyewitness: “It took place around 9.30am and we were all locked in a room. When everyone arrived, we had our hair cut and we were not allowed to leave.”
“They kept cutting without any care and one girl was injured in the shoulder when she was dragged.
“They said that the hair was going to be donated and that it would take place in an orderly fashion, but it turned very ugly.”
Education official Alberto Frutis Solis has called for an investigation to identify the ringleaders and punish them accordingly.
Frutis Solis condemned the alleged stunt, which took place on the university grounds, and even went as far as to insist that students’ lives were put at risk.
The investigation is ongoing.
