This is the moment three women have a lucky escape when a high wall starts collapsing and they run out of the way at the last second narrowly avoiding being crushed to death.

The startling incident occurred in the district of Yenisehir in the province of Diyarbakir in south-eastern Turkey and was captured by a CCTV camera.

In the video, the three women can be seen walking down the pavement side-by-side when one of them moves to cross the road.

Just after she steps down onto the road the retaining wall next to them suddenly collapses and the trio have to sprint across to the other side of the tarmac to safety as bricks crash to the ground behind them.

Fortunately the wall missed all three of them and no injuries have been reported.

Local media report the retaining wall collapsed because of a landslide and the authorities have now launched an investigation.

Netizen ‘Emen Arda Anil’ commented: “God protected these women.”

While ‘Mahmut Birak’ added: “It was obvious that this wall was going to collapse due to heavy rains.”

And ‘Lezgin Kilic’ wrote: “There was a warning sign for this wall that it’s dangerous, but the authorities did not take any measures.”
