Two teenagers face human smuggling charges after leading state troopers on a high-speed pursuit.

The teens, aged 14 and 15 – from Austin, in the US State of Texas – was apprehended by Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers in Kinney County on 23rd March following a wild chase.

The 15-year-old driver initiated the chase on US-90 before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing into the surrounding brush.

Five illegal immigrants also bailed out of the vehicle and ran.

Both the driver and the 14-year-old passenger were arrested and have been charged with evading and smuggling of persons.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
