This is the moment two women are manhandled off a train in Turkey for refusing to wear a face mask.
The incident was filmed on the Marmaray line in the district of Pendik in the north-western Turkish city of Istanbul at around noon on 10th January.
According to the news site Hurriyet, two female passengers got on the train without a face mask and other commuters asked them to put one on.
The women refused and the passengers reported them, leading to a team of security guards boarding the carriage to demand that they don the face garment otherwise the train would not leave.
The women reportedly told guards that they would not get off the train until their lawyers arrived.
After around 10 minutes of arguing with security guards and other passengers, who complained that they were running late for work, the two women were eventually removed from the carriage.
One of the women vowed she would “sue you all” as she was escorted off the train, which departed shortly after they were ejected from the carriage.
In the footage filmed by a passenger, security guards are seen crowding the two women, apparently middle-aged, as they insist they put on a face mask.
The woman in a maroon jacket is apparently pulled from her seat and bundled out of the carriage by two guards before her acquaintance leaves while filming the group of security guards following her off the train.
It is unclear if the women face further punishment for refusing to wear a face mask.
