This is the moment a train smashes into a car on a railway crossing, sending it spinning.

The incident took place at a crossing on the Warsaw-Skierniewice railway line in the village of Radziwillow in Poland’s east-central Mazovia Province.

CCTV footage of the incident shows how the driver of the white car ignores the lowered barriers and decides to take his chances and speed over the crossing through the space between them.

However, as he tries to sneak through the gap, a train travelling at high speed suddenly smashes into the car, visibly damaging it and sending it spinning out of the camera’s view.

Despite the seriousness of the accident, the driver survived.
