This 24-year-old woman has been found dead in her boyfriend’s car with her throat slit after she was reportedly kidnapped during a carjacking and used a hostage to get him to hand over cash and bank cards.

Nnini Pule was reportedly murdered after he gave them all the money he had, but they apparently wanted more following the incident in the town of Hennenman in the South African province of Free State on 13th May.

While the police investigate the young woman’s mysterious death, the victim’s brother Sabata Pule said the boyfriend told them he had last seen her alive when she was kidnapped by two men who robbed them.

Sabata said: “He told us they were driving to Welkom in his Chrysler Voyager when he got a call from my mother and stopped at the side of the road.

“He told us that as he was about to get back into his car, when a white Polo stopped near them and two black men jumped out.

“One of the men hit him on the forehead with the butt of a gun and roughly moved my sister to the back seat. They then told him to drive towards Winburg and demanded cash.”

The boyfriend claimed he gave the thieves ZAR 1,500 (GBP 75) in cash that he had on him at the time, but they still wanted more.

The thieves refused a phone transfer and told the boyfriend to give them his bank card and PIN number.

They took the victim with them in the boyfriend’s car which they also stole, and told him that they would release her when they had the cash, according to Sabata.
