The Sheriff’s Office reported that the men were on holiday with a group of friends when a woman passed out, after which the suspect placed her in a maintenance wheel barrel and carted her back to her hotel room.

As Williams was accused of throwing beer on the woman and insulting her, the victim jumped in and told the suspect that his actions were disrespectful.

Williams then became aggressive toward the victim, who along with two other women tried to calm him down.

However, the angry man shoved one of the women to the ground and the victim intervened again while the other woman got between him and Williams.

Williams pushed her to the ground as well before doing the same to the 28-year-old man, after which he allegedly began choking him and bit off part of his ear off as the others tried to separate them.

Eventually, the men were separated and Williams left, but was detained shortly after officers and a Key West Police K9 Unit located him on the hotel property near the group’s rooms.

He was arrested after group members confirmed the victim’s version of events.

Williams, who is currently in custody, has reportedly refused to speak to the authorities, including Deputy Nicholas Galbo who is in charge of the case.

Facebook user ‘Mary Campellone’ commented: “Good thing the male victim intervened. Who knows what could’ve happened to the unconscious female. Sorry for the gent losing part of his ear.”

Netizen ‘Plumb Patti’ said: “Can you even imagine? The report says they were friends. With friends like this who needs an enemy! Yikes.”
