Several days beforehand, the Indonesian government announced the decision to extend its draconian Enforcement of Restrictions on Public Activities (PPKM) to combat the novel coronavirus.

Candy previously stated that she would stage a bikini protest if the country’s lockdown was extended and she proved true to her word.

In a previous interview, she said: “I want an explanation if PPKM will last until 9th August 2021. If there will be an extension, I will be a mess because I don’t have any idea what to do. I think I will wear a bikini on the street.”
