Former tennis ace and jailbird Boris Becker is reportedly enjoying a life of luxury back home in Germany following his release from prison in the UK.
It is believed he still owes millions to various creditors.
The 55-year-old and his younger girlfriend, 32-year-old Lilian de Carvalho, were spotted at a swanky restaurant in Stuttgart on 17th March.
German media report that Becker is a regular client of the Italian eatery and goes there several times a week.
His spontaneous visits are so frequent, say German media, that a table is reserved for him every evening, just in case he shows up.
At the restaurant, called Nannina, appetisers cost EUR 21 to EUR 26, starters EUR 23 to EUR 32, and mains EUR 39 to EUR 59.
An outing for two can easily set the bill payer back EUR 250 to EUR 300 (GBP 270).
And last month (February), Becker and Carvalho were snapped on the red carpet at the Berlin International Film Festival.
There, the couple ordered starters, mains, and desserts, split a bottle of white wine, and ended the night with an espresso.
Carvalho, who was spotted with a gold Rolex around her wrist, paid for the meal by credit card.
Becker was also seen sporting an expensive watch.
German media report that the couple live in a friend’s apartment in Stuttgart’s Gablenberg district.
The pal is reported to be the same person who flew Becker back to Germany on a private jet following his deportation from the UK.
Upon landing at Stuttgart Airport, the former top-ranked tennis player was met by a top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz.
Later this month, the first details from an ITV documentary about Becker’s rise and fall are expected to be released.
Becker won six grand slams during his tennis career, including three Wimbledon Championships.
In April 2022, Southwark Crown Court found him guilty of removal of property, two counts of failing to disclose estate, and concealing debt.
The charges relate to his June 2017 bankruptcy.
He was sentenced to 30 months behind bars but was released from HM Prison Huntercombe after serving just eight months.
