When the parents checked the bathroom they were shocked to see their limp son with his head stuck in a bucket full of water.
According to the devastated parents, their 18-month-old boy had already turned blue.
Hoping to save him, they rushed the toddler to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead nearly an hour after arriving for emergency treatment.
The toddler’s body was transferred to the Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah in the city centre for an autopsy.
According to local media, the postmortem lasted over five hours and ultimately confirmed that the young boy died of drowning.
