This is the moment a brazen thug steals a female police officer’s gun from her in broad daylight before shoving her to the ground and robbing her as she stands alone on the street.

The startling incident took place in the city of Guadalajara, in the western Mexican state of Jalisco, and was recorded by the CCTV cameras of the building the officer was guarding.

In the video, a thug carrying a small gun in his right hand walks up to a female police officer who is standing by herself on the pavement.

The criminal grabs the cop’s pistol from its holster and threatens the officer with his own firearm, forcing her to let him take her weapon.

The thug, holding two guns, then begins checking the officer for other valuables, kicking her in the shin when she resists.

As the officer continues trying to stop him from robbing her the thug shoves the female cop onto the stairs and grabs something out of her hands before walking away.

It is unclear what the other item the thug stole was or if he was caught.

The incident comes as 116 police officers have been killed in Mexico since current President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador took office on 1st December 2018.
