Victim Karlos Eduardo Pereira Rosa – known as Kadu to friends – had been hosing down the vehicle outside his home in Brusque, Santa Catarina State, Brazil.

Local media say he was using an electric washer plugged into an extension cord when he received a massive, high-voltage shock on 20th February.

His horrified relatives and neighbours gave him first aid and called emergency services.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, where they found Kadu unconscious.

They tried to revive him using a defibrillator for 20 minutes but could only declare him dead.

Police believe some of the wiring from either the extension cord or the high-pressure washer was exposed and live.

His aunt Josieli Borges wrote online: “The pain is great, only God can give us comfort at this moment.

“Go in peace, my prince, you are heritage from the Lord and you are back in your Father’s house. We love you and you will always be remembered in our hearts.”

Kadu will be buried in Brusque on 21st February.

His official cause of death has not yet been released.
