A driver was arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle and attempted to flee but ended up jumping into sticker bushes.

The chase started in the area of C St S and Military Rd S in Spanaway/Parkland in Washington, USA, when a patrol deputy initiated a traffic stop on the swerving pickup truck on 27th February.

However, the driver refused to pull over and hit a curb while trying to turn onto Military Rd S.

The deputy pursued him after suspecting that he was impaired.

The chase continued until a Lakewood officer deployed stop sticks, causing the truck to slow down.

The deputy then used a PIT manoeuvre to bring it to a complete stop.

The suspect then fled on foot but was eventually surrounded and caught by deputies.

A records check revealed that the pickup truck had been reported stolen.

The suspect was booked into jail for DUI, eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest.
