Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has held a first birthday bash for her daughter and sang ‘happy birthday for five days’ after planning the tot’s first big day for months.

The party took place last week but she only posted the images online several days later.

She said that the planning for the event had taken several months and she wanted to make sure it was as fantastic as it could possibly be, according to German news portal Tag24.

She reportedly wrote: “Happy birthday my angel. Everything is just about you today, and I want to say thank you. Thank you that you came into our lives and made them so much richer.”

The pictures were posted five days after the party last Tuesday, and local media report she added that for five days non-stop they were singing ‘happy birthday’.

She also thanked a bakery, an online shop for the decorative material and an agency that helped organise it, reports said.

Many people were impressed by the mega party, but others were also critical.

One wrote: “Totally over the top.” And another added that if this was the baby’s first birthday “how will the next birthday look?”

They added: “Take care of your children, otherwise they will become uncontrollable.”
