STAYING AFLOAT: Rescue Operations Continue After Major Flooding Hits California

These images show the devastating aftermath of the massive California flooding caused by a severe winter storm as rescue operations continue throughout the week.

Drone footage filmed by the San Benito County Search and Rescue offers a wider glimpse into the true dimensions of the disaster.

A large flood barrier seen at the beginning of the video seems to show that there was little to nothing residents could have done to minimise the damages caused by the destructive weather.

Muddy water can be seen spilling over the roads and into people’s yards, whose vehicles appear to have gotten stranded in the middle of the flood.
