This is the 20-year-old man arrested for shooting his parents dead in front of his kid sisters because they did not approve of his relationship with a much older woman.

The incident occurred in the parents’ home in the Darica district of Kocaeli province in Turkey.

Local media report 20-year-old Birkan Oren had an argument with his mother Dilek Oren, 47 and his father Fethi Oren, 49, about his relationship with his girlfriend, who has not been identified but is reportedly “much older” than Birkan.

Later in the evening, Birkan is said to have shot his father dead as he was sleeping in the living room in front of his young sisters, who are 11 years old and two years old.

The son then allegedly shot his mother dead as she was on the toilet before fleeing.

The bodies were found the next morning when a group of Fethi Oren’s former colleagues from the private company where he worked as a security officer came to check in on him.

Paramedics were called but all they could do was declare both victims dead at the scene.

Both bodies were sent to the local morgue and a police investigation was launched.

Birkan Oren was arrested shortly after and remains in detention as the investigation is ongoing. It is unclear if the suspect has been charged.
