This is the death race moment thrill-seeking skaters shoot through a tunnel road packed with traffic as one of them falls in front of the wheels of a car.

The street invasion, filmed in the Mexican capital, Mexico City, on one of its busiest roads. Rio Mixcoac Avenue, went viral after it emerged on social media on 26th February.

The footage shows the group of skaters taking up most of the two-lane tunnel as they shoot through at speed blowing whistles and whooping at shocked drivers.

Many are seen filming themselves on their phones and seem too distracted to even notice the fast-moving traffic around.

In one heart-stopping moment, one skater falls and slides into the path of a car whose driver slams on the brakes.

With nowhere left to go, the driver appears to run the car into the tunnel wall to avoid crushing the girl skater.

Skater Attempts To Go Under Horse And Is Hospitalised

Local media reported that police carried out an operation on the streets to stop skaters. In the area from entering streets and roads with a high traffic volume.

None of the skaters filmed in the footage is understood to have been identified or arrested. And the health status of the skater who fell over is currently unclear.
