This is the shocking moment a couple on a motorbike crashes into the back of a car and one of them is seen spinning in the air until landing in front of another moving car.

The accident was filmed on Emalto Avenue in the municipality of Timoteo in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais on 8th October.

In the footage, the driver of a black car is seen changing lanes to apparently attempt a turn in the road and cuts in front of the driver of a white car who brakes as a result.

The couple on the motorbike then crashes into the back of the white car at speed, sending one of them, apparently the woman, spinning through the air.

The victim seems to land just in front of the turning black car and is hit again.

Both victims are seen lying motionless on the ground as the clip ends.

According to the news site G1, two riders on the motorbike were injured in the accident and the emergency services were sent to the scene to transport the couple to hospital.

The local authorities said the man suffered fractures to his arms, serious bruising to his body, and a throat puncture that left him unable to speak to firefighters despite being conscious at the time.

The woman suffered severe head trauma, bruises on her body and a fractured left leg.

There have been no further updates on their condition as the police investigation into the incident continues.
