Bus Almost Hits Mum With Pram Before Crashing Into Coach

This is the moment an a bus driver mounts the pavement to avoid hitting a minibus at the roundabout and nearly ploughs into a mum with a pram before crashing into a parked coach.

The incident was filmed on HaMagid Street in the Israeli city of Beitar Ilite located 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) south of Jerusalem in the Judaean Mountains of the West Bank.

According to local media, the unnamed bus driver was distracted with his headphones when he failed to slow down at the roundabout.

Reports said that nine people were injured in the incident, including a 15-year-old girl.

Fortunately, no one suffered serious injuries and no pedestrians were hit by the out-of-control bus.

The footage is filmed from cameras outside the bus and in the driver’s cab.

In the first video, the bus is seen mounting the pavement to avoid hitting a minibus at a roundabout.

The out-of-control driver nearly ploughs into several pedestrians, including a mum with a pram, before knocking down a row of trees.

The driver then appears to try to rejoin the road, but instead hits a parked coach head-on.

In the other clip, the bus driver is seen putting his headphones into his ears before turning sharply with one hand on the wheel.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged passenger is thrown forwards when the bus hits the coach and he is seen hitting the dashboard.

Netizen ‘Zheka Zhekin’ said: “The driver is at fault, he should take the bus to prison.”

‘Boris Romov’ commented: “The driver should ride donkeys, not be responsible for a bus!”

‘Igor Aftor’ wrote: “As a rule, it isn’t necessary to try to steer with one hand! Typical Israeli driver!”
