This is the moment a shirtless man chases traffic cops violently swinging a crutch he nabbed from a bystander as they attempt to tow his vehicle away.

The incident took place in Cabecera del Llano in the municipality of Bucaramanga located in the northern Colombian department of Santander during a routine traffic stop.

In one clip, the topless man is seen chasing after a traffic cop with the crutch before handing it back and rowing with other officer.

In another video, the suspect grabs the crutch from an injured biker and starts swinging it at a stocky official who manages to disarm him and hit him a couple of times.

Traffic Police spokesman Edgar Cordero told local media: “After being stopped, we found out that the man was driving illegally.

“He took off his shirt, grabbed a crutch from a bystander and attacked the officials.”

Cordero added that one traffic policeman managed to take the crutch from the suspect and use it against him because he had been hit in the face with it.

One cop had to be treated in a nearby health centre, according to reports.

Meanwhile, the authorities confirmed that the suspect will be punished for his actions, although it is unclear whether he has been arrested yet.
