This man has allegedly confessed to cops that he dismembered this pretty young woman before throwing her body parts into different bins after a night of sex and drugs.
Jorge Ignacio Palma, 38, of Colombian nationality, was the main suspect in the disappearance of Spanish woman Marta Calvo, 25, who was reported as missing some weeks ago.
According to sources from the investigation reported by local media, the suspect has handed himself into the Spanish Civil Guard in Carcaixent, in the Valencia region of eastern Spain, where he was arrested and sent to a judge.
Investigators had been searching for him for three weeks after Calvo went missing from the town of Manuel in the Valencia region.
Calvo had reportedly gone on a date with a man she had met on the internet before she went missing. Two days later her mother went to the victim’s flat where she reportedly encountered the suspect who had he did not know a woman called Marta.
The suspect reportedly told investigators that the victim had died in an accident after a night of sex and drugs.
He then allegedly confessed to dismembering her and throwing her body parts into bins.
Police are searching in a waste treatment plant in Guadassuar to search for the victim’s body.
He reportedly claims he became scared when he found Calvo’s dead body and decided to dispose of the corpse by dismembering it.
Reports state that the suspect was allegedly involved in the death of a prostitute who passed away from a drug overdose some months ago. It is alleged that the suspect did not provide the necessary help in that case but he was not charged with a crime.
He does not have a criminal record in Spain but was reportedly jailed in Italy for drug trafficking after cops found nine kilogrammes of cocaine in his car.
The investigation is ongoing and it is unclear if the has been charged.
