This is the scary moment a woman’s stir fry erupts into a huge fireball and burns her face.

The incident took place in the city of Bengbu in Anhui province in eastern China on Monday, 7th February.

The first piece of footage shows the woman, who has not been named, cooking food over a gas oven top using a large wok.

Flames can be seen licking the sides of the wok as she stirs the food.

But suddenly, the flames erupt into a huge fireball that partially engulfs the woman before they subside slightly as she backs away.

The woman can be seen stumbling over other items on the floor as she attempts to get away from the flames.

In her haste to put some distance between the burning wok and herself, she appears to hit her foot against a large basin of water on the floor.

She can be seen scooping up some water in her hands and applying it to her body, while looking over at the kitchen fire.

The flames quickly diminish and appear to be on the verge of disappearing completely as a man enters the cooking area, apparently to check on the woman.

A second piece of footage shows the woman with light burns to her face. It is not thought that she required hospital treatment. However, her current health condition is unclear.

It is also unclear if the woman is a chef in a restaurant or if she was cooking domestically.
