This is the moment an out-of-control saloon car mows down a group of scooters and a pedestrian after being rear-ended and pushed into a crossroads by an SUV.
The accident, which has resulted in six injuries, was captured by a traffic camera and dashcam on Taikang Road in Nankang District, which is in Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province in East China.
The footage dated 23rd September shows the group of scooters stopped at the junction while waiting for the lights when the white saloon car suddenly crashes into them from behind.
Three scooters are sent flying, while neighbouring riders are also injured as the rear-ended car ploughs through the crossroads.
One of the scooters hits the female pedestrian who is not able to get out of the way in time, while another victim is run over by the out-of-control saloon which rolls to the opposite end of the junction, the video shows.
In the clip, the black SUV which causes the accident is seen braking at the lights, with the crash leaving victims and scooter parts strewn across the road.
Ganzhou police said six people were injured during the crash, with one in serious condition.
The authorities said they had arrested the SUV driver – only identified by their surname Huang – after clearing them of drink- and drug-driving suspicions.
