The price reportedly includes electricity, water and Wi-Fi and the ‘accommodation’ is located on Plaza de Espana in Palma de Majorca, in the Spanish Balearic Islands.

The ad, which was posted on the Milanuncios portal, a popular website for online classified advertisements in Spain, boasts that the tent comes with “the right to a bathroom and kitchen.”

It also comes with access to a “large garden” and is located in the heart of Palma.

The renter is reportedly looking for a “quiet, independent” tenant, with the tent also available to rent for EUR 60 (GBP 52.31) a week.

To secure the EUR 240 (GBP 209.23) rental, the tenant needs to pay a deposit of EUR 250 (GBP 217.94), but electricity water and Wi-Fi are set to be included in the price.

An estate agent in Majorca is quoted in local media as saying: “Every day we come across scams and publications that do not comply with habitability. We find it shameful that this happens. We denounce it on the page, but we do not get any results.”

They added: “Hopefully we can put an end to this type of publication that only hurts those of us who work every day to find decent homes for our clients.”

Majorca is known for having a problem with illegal tourist rentals, according to local media, with vans, motorhomes, boats, tents, balconies, cabins or boats being just some of the strange places that have been rented out on the Island.
