SAFE ZONE: Quick-Thinking Cop Acts To Secure Disaster Zone After Petrol Station Explosion

This is the moment a police officer arrives at a burning petrol station that made a ‘popping’ sound and caught fire while a customer was attempting to park to fill his truck with petrol.

Sargent Ramon Castro of the Oklahoma City Police Department was the first to arrive at the burning petrol station at Casey’s near the I-240 Service Road & S. Walker Avenue, near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 29th January.

Castro rushed to the petrol station right away and found the man whose truck was on fire, as well as one of the petrol pumps.

The man told the police that he was not hurt and that the fire started as he was parking near the pump and heard a popping sound.

Castro secured the area and made sure everyone was a safe distance from the burning pump until firefighters arrived.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, “Sgt. Castro was able to get persons evacuated, medical aid required, and secured the site for the Oklahoma City Fire Department.”

Dashcam film shows a small explosion from the truck or pump as firemen approach.

Fortunately, everyone was already gone from the area and were being examined by medical experts.
