Russia’s rich kids have been sharing snaps of their pampered routines – including from London – showing life remains sweet for them during the COVID-19 outbreak.
While residents of many countries around the world remain on lockdown for several weeks, Russia’s rich kids have reportedly been spending time at luxurious resorts before jetting home.
Maria, 23, and Irina, 18, the two daughters of Russian billionaire and construction tycoon Aleksandr Chigirinskiy, 57, recently spent two weeks in France.
The first week was at a luxurious ski resort in Courchevel in eastern France while the second was spent in the French capital Paris, according to reports.
After returning to her home country, Maria reportedly spent some time partying with her friends in the sea resort city of Sochi in south-western Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region.
Both sisters posted the same social media post on their return from Sochi: “Many of our friends have tested positive for coronavirus.
“Right now, none of us have any symptoms, and these are just precautionary measures so we do not put ours or anyone else’s health at risk.
“Tonight when we returned we were forced to take tests on the plane and right now we are waiting for results. Our family will self-isolate until the situation improves.”
Sisters Diana and Helen Manasir, daughters of construction mogul Ziad Manasir, 54, reportedly joined the Chigirinskiy sisters in Courchevel in France.
Diana, 20, who has previously boasted that she has never been on the underground and no longer remembers what an economy flight is like, isolated herself with her family at their plush home in the luxurious neighbourhood of Rublevka outside the capital Moscow.
Her sister Helen, 26, said: “My sister and I feel wonderful, we are healthy and have no symptoms that we have contracted the virus.”
The model dubbed the ‘Russian Kate Moss’, Alesya Kafelnikova, 21, daughter of former world number one tennis star Yevgeny Kafelnikov, shocked her Instagram followers by jet-setting around the globe this month.
In just one week, Kafelnikova visited Courchevel and enjoyed the sun in Dubai before heading to a luxurious resort in the Maldives.
She said: “There is very little that stops me in life, especially when you get offered a spontaneous vacation.”
Nikita Mazepin, 21, is a Formula 2 racing driver and son of a chemical magnate Dmitry Mazepin, 51.
Similar to the other rich kids, Mazepin visited Courchevel before returning to Moscow and jetting off to Europe again, according to local media.
Alexandra Giner, 16, the granddaughter of the president of FC CSKA and head of the financial committee of the Russian Football Union Evgeniy Giner, 59, also spent time in Courchevel, but in January, earlier than everyone else.
She was supposed to travel to London now and was disappointed that she had to cancel her trip, according to reports.
Elizaveta Peskova, 22, is the daughter of President Putin’s spin doctor Dmitry Peskov, 52. She officially resides in Paris, but managed to travel to Moscow shortly before the borders closed.
The daughter of famous Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, Sofia, 25, did not post any glitzy snaps of her travelling the globe, but she did share a cute photo of her dog licking her face in her adopted home, London, with the message: “I hope everyone stays safe at home.”
