Ronaldinho Wants Neymar To Return To Barcelona

Brazil legend Ronaldinho has said he “would love to see Neymar back at Barcelona next to Suarez and Messi” and added Messi “has been the best player in the world for ten years running”.

The comments came during an interview in the Israeli city of Haifa for Spanish newspaper ‘El Mundo’ where Ronaldinho spoke about his time at Barcelona and his hopes for Neymar’s return to the club.

Ronaldinho said Lionel Messi “has been the best player in the world for ten years running”.

When speaking about Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar’s future Ronaldinho said: “I want for my friends to be happy no matter where they are.

“But it is obvious, I would love to see him back at Barcelona next to Suarez and Messi. They did incredible things together.”

Ronaldinho also spoke about his time at the club saying: “I did not arrive at the club as a saviour but as an important piece of a project with a great manager and really great players.

“I was lucky to arrive at a very important time for the club. A moment of a lot of changes and a few things ended well.”

Ronaldinho played for Barcelona from 2003 to 2008 during which time he played alongside Messi after he made his debut in 2004.

When speaking about his time playing with the Argentine superstar, Ronaldinho said: “We met and started playing together. I am very proud to have taken part in the start of his career.”

When asked about any advice he might have given Messi, Ronaldinho admitted: “No, he already knew everything he had to do.

“We have always spoken as friends. Thank God, we still get on very well.”
