This is the moment a Chilean protester walks towards the police with his trousers down and his genitals on display before a dozen cops rush him and drag him off down the street.

The bizarre arrest took place in a protest in Prat street in the city of Antofagasta in the province with the same name in northern Chile according to reports.

In the video, the unnamed protester can be seen with his trousers fully pulled down towards cops in full riot gear.

An officer then runs at him and grabs him before dozens of other officers charge at the man.

Loud bangs can be heard as a group of four cops drag the protester across the tarmac with his trousers still around his ankles.

The video has been widely shared on social media where netizens have criticised the cops¡ for overreacting.

Netizen ‘poneeyb’ shared the video and wrote: “This person was protesting naked and the police saw it as a provocation and they used disproportionate force.”

Reports state the man was arrested but his name and his current status are unclear.
